Sorah Ad-Dhuha ( The Forenoon ) - Verses Number 11

وَالضُّحَىٰ ( 1 )

By the morning brightness

وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ ( 2 )

And [by] the night when it covers with darkness,

مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ ( 3 )

Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you].

وَلَلْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ الْأُولَىٰ ( 4 )

And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life].

وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰ ( 5 )

And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied.

أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًا فَآوَىٰ ( 6 )

Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge?

وَوَجَدَكَ ضَالًّا فَهَدَىٰ ( 7 )

And He found you lost and guided [you],

وَوَجَدَكَ عَائِلًا فَأَغْنَىٰ ( 8 )

And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient.

فَأَمَّا الْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ ( 9 )

So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him].

وَأَمَّا السَّائِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ ( 10 )

And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him].

وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ ( 11 )

But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it].

The Message of the MessengersDr. Saleh As-Saleh shows in his introduction to this book that Allah could not have created this universe without a purpose. He is All-Wise, All- Knowledgeable, All-Merciful and All-Just. All of these attributes entail providing ways of guidance that would lead to the proper knowledge of Him, and thus the right way to worship Him.
